About Us
The Garber family has been farmers for generations. Gene and Mike Garber are following in the footsteps of their ancestors. They love to work the land and see the benefits of their hard work. They are fortunate enough to be able to do so in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the county known as the Garden Spot of the world.
Following a professional baseball career spanning 24 years, Gene Garber along with his wife Karen and two sons, Greg and Mike, came home to Lancaster County to join his brother, Herb, in a dairy operation. Then in 1999, Gene and Karen along with Greg and Mike formed GMG Farms and purchased a poultry layer house and farm. Today, the GMG Farms operation includes 4 farms and approximately 400 acres just outside Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
Gene has always had a passion for preserving farmland and particularly in Lancaster County. Because of this passion, there have been a total of 7 farms within the immediate family that are preserved through the Lancaster Farmland Trust. Gene Garber is also the chairman of the Ag Preserve Board for Lancaster County, which has preserved over 1000 farms, more than any other county in the United States.
While raising emus began as a hobby for Gene and Karen, it is becoming the future for Gene and Mike as the need for diversification grows. Thus, Pure Relief Emu Oil is being offered to you. In 1995, Gene and Karen purchased their first pair of emus from a farm in Texas. Since then, they have hatched and raised chicks to adulthood. The Garber’s are members of the Pennsylvania Emu Farmers Association, which is an affiliate chapter of the American Emu Association.
We hope you take the time to read the benefits of Pure Relief Emu Oil. We are proud to be able to provide such a pure, natural product.
